Frequently Asked Questions
The following are some of the questions that I encounter most often. If you do not see your question explained here, feel free to contact me.
Scheduling & Services Questions
Q. How do I check to see if you have my date open?
All you need to do is fill out my Contact Form and I will get back to you within 24 hours. You can also email me directly at email@example.com. Please make sure you list your date so I can check my calendar for availability.
Q. Where are your prices? I can’t find them on your website.
After I receive an inquiry from you and I have your date free I will immediately send over my package information for you to review.
Q. You have my date open and your packages look good- now what?
If all looks good we can go ahead and schedule a meeting to sit down together and discuss the details. I can also show you products such as albums and proof books. I am very flexible and can meet almost any time of the week.
Q. Can I reserve my date without meeting with you?
Sure! A good bit of my clients live out of state or have really hectic schedules. I can answer any questions that you may have via email or we can schedule a phone/ Skype call. I can then email you the contract to print out and return to me with a deposit. We can get together whenever you can.
Q. When should I schedule my engagement session?
Whenever you would like. First I would think about what time of year appeals to you. I would try to stay away from winter months. In theory it sounds pretty to have snowflakes. But in reality it gets very, very cold. Ha ha.
Q. What should I wear for my engagement session?
First and foremost, wear clothing that you are COMFORTABLE in. If you don’t feel comfortable you wont look comfortable. After that I suggest one dressy and one casual outfit.
Q. I have no idea where I want to go for my pictures. Can you help?
I would prefer to assist with location ideas. Sometimes a place seems like it would be great but might not be the best spot for photography. I have a bunch of photo-friendly places that are perfect for engagement and wedding pictures.
Wedding Day Questions
Q. I am struggling with the timeline for my wedding day. Is this something that I can discuss with you?
Yes! Yes! Yes! I recommend speaking with me when you are figuring out your timeline. I photograph weddings almost every weekend (sometimes twice a weekend). I am the only vendor who is with the bride for the ENTIRE day. I have a very good feel for what works and what doesn’t as far as timing goes. I would be more than happy to help with times.
Q. How long will you be there to photograph on my date?
I offer full day coverage. This means that I am there about an hour before you leave for the ceremony until the last event of the reception; the last event being money dance, anniversary dance, etc.
Photography & Technique Questions
Q. What is your photographic style?
I would say my style is clean and creative. I fully strive to capture your day in an appealing way that will be timeless. I steer clear of too trendy poses and editing styles. I want you to be able to look at your images 20 years from now and smile.
Q. Do you have back-up equipment?
Yep! I have a ton of equipment.
Q. Do you have a 2nd photographer?
Yes. There is a package that offers a 2nd photographer.
