Dan & Carrie | Rolling Acres Golf Club

I got a call from Carrie about two months ago inquiring availability.  I was surprised that she was planning a wedding so soon.  Carrie explained to me that her and Dan had been together for some time and her sister was leaving for Tanzania for 2 years the Tuesday after the wedding.  She also had some concerns about having a wedding photographer because her wedding party was so so small (1 on each side) and she said she didn’t want me to not have anything to take pictures of.  I was surprised to hear that a bride might be thinking this way but I could see where she was coming from.  I fastly explained to her that it is my job, as a photographer, did give her spectacular images no matter what.  And, that is what we do.  I felt myself getting very passionate when I was explaining this to her.  I could tell that she wanted great wedding images.  I was so happy to hear that she wanted to go for it.

Their wedding day was perfect.  Slightly overcast and cool.  The ceremony was beautiful.  The chorus consisted of their family.  And Dan’s sister played the trumpet.  It was one of the first times I had seen so many family members incorporated into the service.

The reception was held at Rolling Acres Golf Club  in the Timberhouse.  The landscape was beautiful, as you imagine it would be this time of year.  We got some magnificent shots right outside of the building.  It was great!  Inside of the Timberhouse was super comfortable and cosy.  It is built of logs and wood and cast a very nice glow.  The reception ensued and I noticed that Carrie and Dan had a pie buffet.  This was very cool.  Every kind of pie imaginable.  I heart pie- so I was biased to this idea =)

I had an amazing day and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with Carrie & Dan =)

We are definitely very happy with the pictures! They are better than I could have imagined! 🙂 I think I’ve looked at them about 30 times already. Thank you so much, Amber! You were awesome to work with! Looking forward to the rest of the pictures!
