Someone call the fire department — this couple is sizzling! Of course, you know with a gorgeous engagement shoot using a firetruck and station, that’s the kind of thing that’s needed to kick off a blog post.

Erica and Mark are such a striking couple together, coordinating their engagement shoot was easy and all of the most vibrant colors were on display as we took pictures throughout the fire station where Mark serves as a volunteer firefighter. Incorporating a job into an engagement shoot — especially one as important and heroic as this — offers some stunning photo options for an engagement shoot. If your job is a part of your life, then it makes sense to include it in your photos!

Erica and Mark looked absolutely stunning in various locations around the fire station. Mark’s wardrobe was stylish and sleek, complementing Erica’s dress and thigh-high boots — talk about elevating your engagement shoot to a whole new level! This couple had fun taking a mix of photos, from serious to fun — a great way to have an assortment of options in your photo album and create a timeless look.

The lighting around the firehouse was simply spectacular — the red firetruck needed no help standing out in the images, but the focus is still on Erica and Mark with plenty of soft and romantic lighting around them.

Of course, you can’t have an engagement shoot at the fire house without trying on some of the garb! Erica looks pretty fabulous with the helmet — such a fun way to infuse Mark’s life in with hers, after all, it’s a part of her life now too!

When you don’t want to bring props to an engagement photo shoot, you can easily incorporate aspects of your life or surroundings into the shots. This picture is wonderful — it highlights the love between the couple, while also putting the spotlight on that gorgeous engagement ring and Mark’s firefighter helmet.

Taking pictures during certain times of the days offers some stunning light — especially at golden hour. After the more formal engagement shoot at the fire station, we headed to the North Shore in Pittsburgh at sunset to capture some shots in a more casual and laid back atmosphere. Erica swapped out thigh-high boots for Converse and Mark changed into a sweater; both of their outfits looked perfect against the golden downtown Pittsburgh landscape.

The lighting was simply perfect and gave everything such a vibrant glow — perfect with the gray wardrobe which helps it stand out without detracting from the entire photo.
