That’s up to you! While I always have gorgeous places around Pittsburgh to take engagement photos, you can plan your session anywhere that feels special to you. Whether you have a favorite coffee shop, want to take your photos at an iconic Pittsburgh landmark or want the city to serve as a backdrop, or you just want to be at home cuddled on the couch, it’s totally your choice. My advice to you is to choose locations that are personal so that you feel relaxed and comfortable during your Pittsburgh engagement photo session – these candid shots are so natural and beautiful, which makes them even more special.

When can we take our photos?

Depending on the location, we can take pictures throughout the day. Keep in mind that the location might determine the time of the photoshoot to account for shadows or lighting – especially if you prefer an urban shoot. Lighting is best in the afternoon throughout the year, which offers a golden glow without harsh overhead sun.

What should we wear to our Pittsburgh engagement photo session?

Anything you want! If you want some images more causal and then a formal set, come ready to change and wear what makes you comfortable. Keep in mind that wardrobe changes do take time, so plan that out ahead and make sure the time frame fits your budget.
