It’s a city renowned for its snowy winters, natural splendor and of course, its majestic bridges. But that’s far from all Pittsburgh is known for. This city of black and gold has also been blessed with its fair share of historical monuments and a number of them make the perfect wedding venues.
Living and working in this wonderful city means that I have gotten to coordinate wedding photography sessions in quite a few of them. And today, I will be sharing some of my favorites for the perfect, fairy tale wedding.
- The Grand Estate, Hidden Acres: As far as magical wedding venues go, they don’t get much more enchanting than this stately mansion set in the midst of sprawling well manicured grounds. Especially since it comes with an amazing array of perks. These include accommodations for the wedding weekend courtesy the expansive main building and a cozy chalet also located on the grounds.
There’s also its splendid garden which is a veritable treasure trove of alluring scenery which is guaranteed to provide an amazing wedding photography session. It even comes with a gazebo and tents for your reception and is capable of hosting up to 300 guests.
- Bella Sera Event Venue: A smooth pink facade accentuated by its patterned brick detail makes this Tuscan style villa the perfect balance of delicate color and stately elegance. If you have set your heart on the Pittsburgh wedding dreams are made of, then you will love this venue.
Capable of hosting a maximum of 400 guests, it not only boasts 18 000 sq feet of indoor space which is ideal for hosting the ceremony, but also comes with a delightful vast stone fireplace. What’s more, you will also be able to look forward to amazing natural backdrops ensuring beautiful wedding photography for your Pittsburgh wedding thanks to the lovely gardens on the grounds.
- Heinz History Center: Antique vehicles including a vintage fire engine and a number of industrial appliances give this historic center a trendy industrial ambiance. The Heinz History Center also boasts a spacious reception hall, the Mueller Center which is the ideal spot for tying the knot in these enthralling surroundings.
If there was ever any proof you needed that the city of steel was made for weddings, it can certainly be found in the delightful venues mentioned above. And there’s plenty more where that came from! Whether you’re interested in European, industrial, vintage or traditional settings, you will be able to find the venue that’s just right for you in this city made for awesome weddings.
