One of the most fun parts of the wedding planning journey is coming up with a signature cocktail that both you and your partner love. It should complement both of your tastes and also fit the overall wedding theme— which can turn a little challenging. Look no further than your horoscope! Having done Pittsburgh wedding photography for years and taken up some graphic design courses, I’ve seen my fair share of brides pick their signature cocktail based on their Zodiac , so I’ve decided to gather my favorite drinks for each sign!

 

Aries: March 21 to April 19

Being a spring baby yourself, you’ll love a spring inspired drink. My recommendation is a delicious Rose Lemon Spritzer. Picture fresh fruit and beautiful garnishes! 

 

Taurus: April 20 to May 20

Sweet and pleasure, two things a Taurus knows well! For your drink, I recommend a Watermelon-Tequila Cocktail. A great use for watermelon when it’s in abundance and you can mix blueberries and mint to add to the fresh taste!

 

Gemini: May 21 to June 20

Since you’re full of surprises, who better to throw all of your guests off by serving them not a fruity drink, but a savory one! My recommendation for your Pittsburgh wedding is a Bloody Mary, maybe topped off with some crisp bacon or gooey cheese.

 

Cancer: June 21 to July 22

Cancer brides tend to be really loving, sensitive and loyal, so for them I always suggest the  Mandarinita El Corazon. A great combination of Tequila Reposado, lime and Mandarin Napoleon, a very soulful drink!

 

Leo: July 23 to August 22

For all my Leo brides, an over-the-top drink is a must.

Cucumber Lime Tops is a crazy but oh so delicious cocktails I once tried and since always recommend. Freezing a cucumber, lime mixture and serving it on a hot day is always a crowdpleaser.

 

Virgo: August 23 to September 22

Manhattan — the classic. 

You love quality drinks and your Virgo nature makes you a purist. That’s why I recommend a good classic Manhattan. Have a simple drink with your choice of top notch whiskey!

 

Libra: September 23 to October 22

Being the social butterfly that you are, you love being surrounded by the people you love. What better cocktail than a Pearbellini? This is a pear-infused vodka, with elder flower liqueur, ginger syrup and the best champagne to find that perfect harmony.

 

Scorpio: October 23 to November 21: 

Have that passion of yours come out and enjoy an Jack Rose on your Pittsburgh reception. A bright red drink that defines sensuality and tastes amazing!

 

Sagittarius: November 22 to December 21

Your positive outlook on life and that adventurous nature of yours match perfectly with a Thai-Basil Sangria. A twist on the common Spanish drink, this version gets it’s golden and transparent kick from white wine and brandy.

 

Capricorn: December 22 to January 19

For all of my Capricorn brides out there, I’ll always suggest a Martini. It’s a classic and straightforward drink, like you, Capricorn.

 

Aquarius: January 20 to February 18

Have a silly and whimsical Pittsburgh wedding serving some spiked Harry Potter-inspired butterbeer. They’ll be rich and really delicious.

 

Pisces: February 19 to March 20: 

Pisces, give into your water-sign and natural ways and go for Mai Tai. It’s free-spirited and creative, and your guest will love it!
