Wedding Photography Pittsburgh — Beauty Mistakes to Avoid Before Your Wedding — Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer

Trust me, I’m not a stickler for rules, but when it comes to your wedding day, it’s always good to follow a few beauty rules and ensure you’ll look your best. After all, it is one of the most magical days of your life, and finding the perfect dress, picking the best jewelry and custom chains along with the most beautiful flowers can all be undermined if you don’t get the look right.

But, how do you make sure you’ll look stunning in your Pittsburgh wedding? Well, firstly, stay away from certain beauty mistakes. As a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, I’ve worked with my fair share of brides and here I’ve listed what beauty rituals you need to watch out for right before your wedding. Never get a new tan

Lots of brides like to look sun-kissed in their wedding photography, whether it’s summer or the middle of winter. This makes tanning beds and faux tans quite popular, but be warned: never tan too close to your wedding day. If the results end up being not so flattering or it’s just not what you wanted, there might not be enough time to fix it.

Never try a new skincare routine

The last thing you need is to mess with your skin and end up with a breakout. This is bound to happen when you try out a skincare routine for the first time. To avoid the havoc on your skin, I recommend sticking to your tried and true routine, and stay away from new products and unexpected results.

Never try new makeup looks

There are right and wrong moments for switching up your look. Right before your wedding day is one of the worst possible moments you could pick! Your Pittsburgh wedding is a really special occasion, so make sure that you stick with what you like and don’t experiment with your look on that day. For example, this isn’t the time experiment with some heavy smoky eye looks, especially if you’ve never tried it before. Keep those looks that make yu feel confident and you know you can pull off like no other.

Never wax the day before

Similar to trying out a new skincare routine, getting wax can always break out or give you some rashes. This is all fine on a regular day, but dealing with sensitive or bumpy skin on your wedding day is less than ideal. From all my Pittsburgh wedding photography experience, I advise brides to never take the chance of waxing so close to the wedding, and rather planning for it at least 2 weeks before.
